Flying lead bulkhead wiring harnesses are included with all universal Radium Engineering Fuel Surge Tanks and do not need to be purchased separately.
These harnesses are used in multiple Radium Engineering products including fuel surge tanks, fuel pump hangers, fuel cells, etc. For a complete bulkhead mating connection, select one internal and one external harness from the lists above.
Internal Harnesses:
All internal bulkhead harnesses include submersible fuel resistant wiring. Depending on part number, these wires are 3-5" long with populated terminations (connector, terminals, etc.) that secure to the associated pump(s). After the soldering procedure, the connector terminals are potted with a special formulated (proprietary) epoxy that is compatible with all fuel types including alcohol blends, such as E85.
Single and dual pump harnesses use a nickel-plated aluminum connector (shown above) that meet "IP66/IP68 NEMA 250 6P". The triple pump harness uses a larger 7 position "NEMA 6P 13: IEC IP67" connector (shown below) that is populated with 6 wires for three pumps. All internal connectors use O-ring seals resisting all fuel types.
All panels must be 0.06-0.18 inches thick. See the drawing below for cut outs for each bulkhead connector.
External Harnesses:
All external harnesses use high quality (automotive/aircraft grade) TXL wire. The external harnesses are covered with a braided sleeving that is resistant to all chemicals and elevated temperatures. The high quality connectors meet "NEMA 6P" and are sealed to permit installation in weather exposed areas. They are 24" long and colour coded for multiple pump applications.
Single Pump Harness:
- Nickel-plated EMI/RFI shielded retainer nut.
- 2 wires (red, black).
Dual Pump Harness (shown above):
- Nickel-plated EMI/RFI shielded retainer nut.
- 4 wires (red, black, orange, grey).
Triple Pump Harness (shown below):
- Quarter turn nylon retainer nut.
- 6 wires (red, black, orange, grey, white, brown).
